Shannon A. Holmes is the Managing Attorney with the Law Firm of Shannon Anthony Holmes, PLLC with a principal office in Dallas, TX. The firm primarily represents clients in business, asset protection/wealth preservation, civil litigation, and sports related matters. The firm serves as an outsourced general counsel for individual and commercial clients on general business and litigation matters. Shannon serves as counsel and advisor to physicians, real estate developers, serial entrepreneurs, coaches, active and retired professional athletes, including, an NBA champion, a Superbowl MVP, and a NFL Comeback Player of the Year, among others. Shannon is the author of the bestselling book, Chief Executive Athlete, How To Run Your Sports Career Like a Fortune 500 Company. Shannon has been featured on various radio shows, talk shows, and podcasts discussing sports and the law.
Prior to establishing his firm, Shannon’s legal background includes working in the Dallas County District Attorney's Office as a felony prosecutor of white-collar crimes and in the Dallas City Attorney's Office as a Senior Assistant City Attorney for real estate and housing.
Shannon’s previous work experience includes a career in the financial services industry as a commercial banker and investment advisor. He has spent countless hours volunteering as a youth coach and mentor. Shannon is a past recipient of the distinguished Jefferson Award for Public Service and has served in leadership roles as a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. Shannon holds a bachelor’s degree in economics, a master of business administration, and he completed his Juris Doctor with honors at Thurgood Marshall School of Law. Shannon serves as an adjunct sports law professor at Northern Illinois University School of Law.
Shannon is married to Dr. Jeane' Simmons Holmes, a physician and executive with a health insurance provider. They are the proud parents to 10yr old twins.
